»Re-Amp Your Ego« was the first track we recorded for DE3IVAT. It all began with Christoffer sending the seminal rhythm track made from noises recorded on location at Prora. From there the fully took of. Effects, melody and bass lines were added and this beautiful sound of a dog chain recorded on-site of Point Alpha created this wonderfully thoughtful mood.
Last minute we found the voice sample recorded by German police over the emergency telephone line of a person who accused himself of having murdered a person. As it turned out being a hoax call it just fitted in with the song and overall concept of DE3IVAT perfectly.
